The key element is the colon: the game series is Star Wars Jedi , not Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order . This could be taken as a Jedi anthology of games, where each entry explores a new Jedi. Whether they remain in the Dark Times or not remains to be seen, but hopefully not every entry would be limited to this time—Survivor does indicate this entry could, though. That doesn’t mean Cal’s story is over, it just means more stories can be explo

Now, it could be that Star Wars Jedi being an anthological series holds true (or doesn't), but that McGregor’s comment amounts to a cameo or Cal Kestis’ live-action appearance and nothing more. This poses another question: if not Cal or Obi-Wan, then

Because of this, Cal’s story is somewhat trapped. Darth Vader has to play a role, but that role is largely predictable. No matter how the encounters go, Vader either eliminates Cal or Cal escapes to no real consequence. The entire dynamic between the two becomes lackluster, but there’s reason to suspect Cal Kestis may not be the protagonist of Star Wars Jedi: Surviv

Star Wars Celebration is just a few days away, which means the much-anticipated reveal of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is too. According to known insider Jeff Grubb, this sequel to Star Wars Jedi Survivor News|Https://Jedisurvivorhub.Com/ Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be at the event and is set to release on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X in early 2023. One thing Jeff was not sure of was how many playable characters there would

The problem is that Darth Vader is much more of a background character in Jedi: Fallen Order, used to flesh out Cal’s story rather than his own. Indeed, it’s an incredibly similar trope even to Vader’s role in Star Wars Rebels . So it ultimately adds nothing new, and when Cal comes face-to-face with Vader , they know nothing serious can come out of it. Sure, Vader is intimidating, but that cannot carry his role in a story. It’s much more focused on the Inquisitors, which is fine and super interesting, but now that Cal’s on Vader’s radar, there’s no real direction it can go. Cal is not L

Malicos emerged as a standout character from Jedi: Fallen Order with his unique take on the dark side of the force. Like Cal Kestis, he too survived Order 66. He eventually went into exile on Dathomir, where he became the Nightbrothers' leader and learned the ways of the dark s

If there is meant to be a second playable character, there’s not a better pick than Merrin. After all, assuming the subtitle could be in reference to her past, not Cal’s, she’s a survivor by definition. It’s likely Cal (or perhaps Cere) is training her in the ways of the Jedi, making her their padawan. That would be the best way to work her into a closer story, as well as a solid connection for the gameplay. How the action RPG elements, as well as the lightsaber customization in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor , would work remains to be seen, but it’s not impossi

Star Wars is about to enter a dark era for the Jedi. Imperial Inquisitors are roaming about. No Jedi is safe. Lucasfilm's upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series is set to treat fans to what, according to ComicBook.com , Kathleen Kennedy calls the "rematch of a century." Kenobi will see the titular hero come face to face with Darth Vader once again with both Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen reprising their roles from the prequel tril

Fallen Order 2 , also, would be a bit redundant. In the first game, Cal and friends seek a Jedi Holocron containing a list of Force-Sensitive children across the galaxy. They pursue it to rebuild the fallen Jedi order, but at the end of the game, Cal destroys it so the Empire cannot get their hands on it. In other words, the idea of rebuilding the fallen order—central to this game and to its title—is no longer relevant outside of indicating a potential direct seq

The colon and subtitle change are incredibly reminiscent of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, which cycles through new main characters. Star Wars Jedi could, and maybe should, be just that. The question of what Jedi should replace Cal Kestis is a big one, though. It could be as big as Obi-Wan Kenobi being the main character of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor , one of the Fallen Order characters (Cere? Merrin), a character from other Star Wars media sources, or another brand new character. No matter how it approaches this, if it does, there are plenty of opti

Darth Vader is, without a doubt, one of the most popular characters in the franchise. Darth Vader’s role in the original trilogy would indubitably leave a huge mark on the franchise—leading to the prequel trilogy about the fall of Anakin Skywalker and the rise of Darth Vader. His appearance everywhere is usually well-received, whether that’s Star Wars Rebels , non-canonically in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed , and so on. The hype for Darth Vader in Obi-Wan Kenobi simply cannot be understa

It's unclear when fans will learn more about Star Wars Jedi: Survivor . EA is not hosting its usual EA Play event this year, so it may be some time. While they wait, Star Wars fans can check out the new Obi-Wan Kenobi shows on Disney+ and analyze the first Star Wars Jedi: Survivor trai
